Flexible Electricity Transport by Sea
EnviroShips reduce CO2 generation and reverse the fast-growing loss of carbon benefits, in order to restore the original environmental
and economic logic of renewables.
ENVIROSHIPS SYSTEM
The 'EnviroShips system' captures, stores, transports, and regenerates clean electricity, ensuring that renewable power reaches the people and places that need it most.
In many regions, especially across Western grid networks, valuable zero-carbon electricity is being wasted due to limited transmission capacity. The EnviroShips system unlocks this stranded energy by providing a flexible alternative to traditional power lines, able to move clean power over long distances and deliver it to customers far away from the original generation site.
Unlike traditional infrastructure projects, EnviroShips can be deployed rapidly, connecting remote generation sites with high-demand regions without waiting decades for new transmission lines. The EnviroShips system creates clean-energy logistics, redefining how power is moved around inter-country or exported to others.
As the project develops, EnviroShips will support a cleaner, more efficient energy system by giving generators new market access and helping consumers secure reliable, carbon-free power. This innovative approach strengthens energy security, reduces lost renewable output, and accelerates the net-zero transition.

Unlike static assets, EnviroShips are redeployable. As market needs shift, the entire fleet can be repositioned, from Scotland and Southampton, to any supply and demand regions with mooring facilities, bringing clean power to the highest-value node locations.
Given grids will face future problems in differing locations, this agility makes EnviroShips one of the fastest, lowest-risk, mobile ways to scale dispatchable zero-carbon power, bridging the gap between today’s stranded generation and tomorrow’s electrified economy. By enabling grid reinforcement and offering Black Start and Restoration Services, the EnviroShips system provides additional system-critical value.
The EnviroShips system re-purposes existing vessels, revives shipyard capacity, and uses proven rotating machinery technologies, making the deployment timeline dramatically shorter than fixed grid infrastructure.
A fleet can be acquired, converted, financed, and operating in a fraction of the time it takes to approve, permit, and construct a single long-distance onshore transmission corridor, or offshore sub-sea cable. What takes electricity networks 15–25 years to deliver, EnviroShips can achieve in just a few.

POWER BY SEA

The EnviroShips system enables Britain to move electricity by sea rather than through fixed transmission cables, freeing power trapped in the North and delivering it directly to demand centres in the South. This is crucial because most planned transmission upgrades run down the east coast, while no major subsea cables are planned along the south coast, leaving southern England under supplied even as northern wind capacity continues to grow. EnviroShips provide a mobile alternative to static grid infrastructure. A-Class vessels absorb surplus wind power in Scotland, S-Class ships transport that stored energy south, and
R-Class units re-inject power into the grid where traditional cabling does not reach. This approach directly addresses challenges highlighted in the National Energy System Operator’s (NESO) Network Options Assessment (NOA).
Without mobile power transmission to southern England, further northern wind build-out will simply increase curtailment, cost, system inefficiency and consumer electricity bills, until the fundamental problem is solved. EnviroShips move power to demand centres, not just ashore.
EnviroShips deliver power by sea, supplying electricity where Britain needs it most.

1
ABSORB
EnviroShips capture surplus renewable electricity at source, converting curtailed wind power into clean cryogenic ElectroFluid called LNP, preserving energy that would otherwise be wasted and stabilising the grid.
2
STORE & TRANSPORT
LNP is stored onboard specialised vessels and safely transported along marine energy routes, creating flexible, mobile transmission that bypasses congested grid transmission infrastructure.
3
INJECT
At destination, LNP is regenerated to deliver firm, synchronous, carbon-free power and cooling directly into demand centres, reinforcing energy security and cutting emissions.
